We’re 1st gen homesteaders.
What exactly does that mean? It’s the term we’ve chosen in order to try and wrap our minds around the fact that no one on any sides of our families have chosen to homestead in the last 150 years…
except us.
And sometimes that can make the rocky and unknown path seem absolutely insurmountable. How do you express in words the fact that you yearn for a road you’ve never even seen, that leads to a place you’ve also never seen, let alone even begin to describe what that place is?
Well, until we discover the answers to those questions, we’re 1st Gen Homesteaders on a mission to rekindle a two-way relationship between us and our home by digging in the dirt, raising some animals, and enjoying the harvest.
